Kazakhstan celebrates its National Pavilion Day

Kazakhstan celebrated its National Pavilion Day yesterday with an entertainment gala at both Asia Square and the Expo Center.

The celebration ceremony was held at the Expo Center.

Dancers from Kazakhstan performed traditional dances to mark the Kazakhstan Pavilion Day.

Kazakhstan has been actively participated in Expo 2010 in order to promote a better understanding of its capital Astara among people from other parts of the world, Kazakhstan’s Agriculture Minister Akylbek Kurishbayev said during the ceremony.

Its pavilion also demonstrates the city’s economic strength and attraction for investment. In addition, the pavilion showcases the Central Asian country’s culture, history and tradition, the minister added.

Qiu Hong, assistant minister of Commerce of China, said that the 1,000-square-meter Kazakhstan Pavilion, with the themes of "Astana -- the Hearth of Eurasia," gives every visitor a deep impression of its beauty and glamor.

The Kazakhstan Pavilion features a dozen LED screens, interactive games and a 4D cinema on the second floor.

The pavilion is next to the Japan and Uzbekistan pavilions.
